That’s a surprise and you’ll get that after the camp
I’m a 4.5-5.0 level competitive pickleball player, and I’ve spent the last decade watching this sport transform lives, including my own.
My pickleball story started ten years ago with a knee injury that forced me to try the sport, and it filled every gap: the competition, the community, the joy of being on a court.
My mission is to help players 50 and over learn this game properly, whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been on a court and came away feeling like you were the only one who didn’t know what was going on. Real fundamentals, genuine fun, and the confidence to walk onto any court and belong there.
My Credentials:
My approach: My goal for every student is simple: have fun, learn, improve, and stay safe on the court. I build a comfortable, encouraging environment where players at the beginner level feel welcomed. I don’t rush past real understanding, and I make sure every player walks away with something concrete they can use the very next time they step on the court. There is no such thing as a basic question in my camp.
So, whether you want to stay active, get out of the house more, meet people in your area, or simply see what all the fuss is about… I’ll help you learn this game the right way from your very first swing, so you play with confidence and stay comfortable on the court for years to come.
Players who train with me play with confidence.
They learn the rules well enough that they never feel lost in a game.
They play in a way that protects their knees, their back, and their shoulders.
They build real friendships around a game they get to keep.
They find something they look forward to every single week.

Your Path Forward
Most beginner camps spend too much time talking and not enough time doing.
I’m different.
Here’s my philosophy: Purposeful Drilling = Lasting Improvement
You do not learn pickleball by watching videos, and you certainly don’t learn it by being thrown into a game with people who have been playing for years. You learn it by hitting a few balls with someone standing next to you telling you what to adjust, at a pace that works for your body.
And here is why that matters so much when you are just getting started:
Because we all love that moment when we try something brand new and it actually WORKS, don’t we?
That feeling when your serve goes in three times a row instead of once
That rush when you and another player rally back and forth four, five, six times in a row.
You do not have to wait weeks to feel like a pickleball player. You will feel it inside the first hour. Right there on the court.
That’s why purposeful drilling is the heartbeat of this camp. Not because I think it’s good for you, though it is, but because it is a genuine pleasure to watch someone go from “I tried this and I was terrible” to “I actually know what I’m doing now” in a single afternoon.
See why 98% of our campers recommend this camp.
Hi, I’m Debbie from Oklahoma. I really enjoyed today’s drill. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations. I got plenty of reps, learned many new aspects of the game, and added to my toolbox. It was a great experience.
– Debbie
Hi, I’m Linda. I’m from Iowa. I joined the camp today. It was great to touch on all different aspects. We’re able to drill enough that we got good at all the different aspects. So I’m ready to hit the courts.
– Linda
Hi. I just finished an Obsessed
Pickleballers clinic, and I would
recommend it to anyone who wants to get better. Mark has a great way of explaining things, and he teaches in a way that anyone can get better in the four hour session.
– Camp Attendee
Maybe you’ve already been out on a court. Maybe you’ve only watched from the side. Either way, it hasn’t turned into anything yet.
And it isn’t because you didn’t like it. It’s because nobody ever actually taught you the game.
Whatever you know, you picked up in pieces, from whoever happened to be standing next to you. Nobody ever sat you down and explained the two-bounce rule, or why the kitchen line matters, or how on earth the scoring works when somebody shouts “four, two, one.”
So it stayed a good idea. Something you’d get around to. Never something you actually do on Tuesdays.
Here’s the good news: this is the easiest problem in pickleball to fix. It takes two hours and somebody whose job is to teach it to you properly.
That’s Saturday, August 15.
By two o’clock you’ll know the rules cold. You’ll know where to stand and where to move. Your shots will go in on purpose instead of by luck. And you’ll have played real points with the score called out loud, alongside people at exactly your stage.
Then it stops being something you mean to do, and starts being something you do.
You drive to your local court. You bring your own paddle. You are not there to watch.
Somebody asks if you want to fill in for a game, and this time you say yes without any hesitation.
You now know the court. You call the score out loud, and you get it right. Your shots go in.
The ball comes back, and you are ready for it. Your dink drops soft and low, and your partner says, “nice one.” A few points later, you are rallying longer than you thought you could on your second day of playing.
Nobody out there can tell you learned this game on Saturday.
By the end of the session, you are laughing at your own misses instead of apologizing for them. And when it’s time to leave, someone asks if you’re coming on Thursday.
That’s the difference between standing on the sideline and standing on the court.
And it starts the moment you register, because you’ll have the eBook and the community in your inbox before you even arrive.
The serve, the two-bounce rule, the kitchen, the faults, and how to call a score out loud without second-guessing yourself. You’ll stop guessing and start knowing.
I’ll connect you with other players who started this game on the same morning you did. You’ll exchange numbers, join the Obsessed Pickleballers Community together, and stay connected long after the camp ends.
Where do you go after you serve? When do you move up? What do you do when the ball is at your feet? You’ll have clear, simple answers to all of it.
Most people who pick up this game on their own build in the same handful of habits within their first month: a grip that fights them, feet that stay planted, a paddle that drops when the ball speeds up. Those habits take years to unlearn, and plenty of players never do. You get to skip all of it. From your very first swing, with patient, scaled corrections from a 5.0-level coach and six-year teaching professional, you’ll learn the version that holds up when the game gets faster.
Most players carry those early habits for years. You’ll never pick them up in the first place.
This is the part nobody tells you about pickleball. The game is the excuse. The people are the reason. You’ll spend two hours beside the same seven players, all of them as new as you are, and by the wrap-up you’ll be laughing at each other’s misses and swapping numbers. You’ll leave with a group text, a standing game, and a reason to be somewhere on a Saturday afternoon.
Remember when you first heard about pickleball and thought, could I actually do this?
On August 15, you’ll know the answer is yes.
Most camps charge hefty prices and send you home with nothing but memories. We’re giving you a complete transformation system for life:
Written by Obsessed Pickleballers head coach Mark Ianni, it captures everything we teach on the court, and then goes even deeper, so you always know what to work on next.
Here’s what’s inside:
Over 500 five-star reviews from players just like you who use it as their ongoing playbook.
Imagine having access to hundreds of passionate players AND coaches from across the entire US.
Here’s what happens in the community:
Real benefit: Your camp crew just became a nationwide family. Continuous coaching, continuous connection, continuous improvement, forever.
Bonus #3: That’s a SURPRISE! And a little hint: It’s another perfect guide for players 50 and over.
You’re right in the middle of who I built this for. Some people in this camp have never stepped on a court, and others have played a bit and didn’t get much out of it. I start at how to hold the paddle, so nobody gets lost, and I move at a pace that won’t bore you if you’ve already been out there. Either way, you’re not behind.
Bring the one you have. It’s completely fine for this camp, and I’d rather you spend the afternoon learning than shopping. Once you’ve played a proper session I’ll tell you what actually matters in a paddle and what’s just marketing, so if you do upgrade later you’ll buy the right one instead of guessing twice. And if you don’t own a paddle at all, let me know when you register and I’ll have a loaner ready for you.
This camp is designed for beginner players at the 2.0-2.5 level, which includes complete first-timers. Every drill, every explanation, and every piece of coaching is calibrated for players who are new to the game or still building their core fundamentals.
This camp is designed specifically for players 50 and over. If you’re 50+ and at the beginner level, you’re exactly who I built this session for.
You don’t need a DUPR rating for this camp. The 2.0-2.5 range is simply to help you understand who this session is designed for. If you’re new to pickleball or still building your fundamentals, you’re in exactly the right place.
Most people come alone, and that is one of the best parts. Everyone walks in as a stranger and a beginner, which takes all the pressure out of the room. By the wrap-up, you’ll be swapping numbers, and by the following week, a lot of my campers are playing together.
Yes. I adapt every session to the pace and physical needs of the players in front of me. Safety comes first, always. You’ll be challenged appropriately and never pushed beyond what’s comfortable for your body.
Just bring your paddle, court shoes, athletic wear, protective eyewear (optional), water, some snacks, and a towel.
You will. With an 8:1 ratio, you’ll receive plenty of personalized feedback throughout the camp. I watch every player closely and make real-time corrections that create visible improvement within the session itself.
Yes! This camp is held in a fully indoor facility.
Immediately upon registration:
You can start learning before you even arrive. The SURPRISE bonus will be sent to you after the camp.
Because you will not be figuring it out alone. Most people who try to start on their own show up to open play, feel lost, and never go back. Here you get the rules explained plainly, hundreds of guided reps, a coach at your shoulder, and seven other players who are just as new as you are. You leave knowing how to play and knowing who to play with, which is the part that actually keeps people in this game.
We understand that life happens, and we always aim to be as fair and flexible as possible.
